A heritage of service to the healthcare industry, Dan Murphy established Metro Medical Industries, Inc., in 1990. Dan held a sales position with Pfizer/Deknatel in the cardiovascular division, earning top sales awards annually. He used his personal savings to start Metro part-time, offering alternative endoscope repair services vs. OEM. Within 10 years, and several GPO contract awards, Metro has expanded into a state-of-the-art optic repair laboratory. Today, this lab is outfitted with the latest diagnostic and repair equipment, such as the LaserStar welder, ultrasonic cleaners, and autoclave chambers. Additionally, it is equipped with cutting-edge Olympus 190 video systems and HD 3-Chip camera setups, which aid in the diagnosing, repairing, and evaluating of flexible and rigid endoscopes. Metro-Medical Industries, Inc. employs a full staff of optical repair technicians and sales representatives, while successfully operating dealer networks across the United States, with contacts in South America, Germany and Mexico.
